Divorce settlement for Dodger owners will be decided one asset at a time, report New York City Family Lawyers.

Divorce court is going to require a lot more time and planning than anticipated for the attorneys for Dodgers owners Jamie and Frank McCourt after an agreement they signed early in their marriage was found to be invalid, according to a New York Family Lawyer and court reports, the Judge involved in the case, after much deliberation, ruled their agreement for property attained during their marriage, to be invalid and not presentable in either case.
“What we do now," said one attorney involved in the case, "is the court is going to have to decide asset by asset how to award the assets.” She went on to say that the judge’s decision would not equate into a 50-50 division in assets, specifically the ownership of the Dodgers ball club.
Frank McCourt’s attorney insists to NY Family Lawyers that he is the sole owner of the Dodgers and plans to plead this part of the case strongly as the case continues.
Jamie McCourt's attorney was happy with the decision the judge made by not accepting the earlier agreement in the couple’s marriage.
The case and the different rulings are not expected to hurt or help daily operations at the Dodger’s Ball club. NY City Family Lawyers predict the McCourts will likely come closer to a settlement since the decision.

The Irony of Farming and Inheritance

Recent reports from a New York Family Lawyer indicate that farming families can breathe slightly easier now that President Obama has signed a federal tax bill stating that farmers can pass on their estates of up to 5 million dollars per person to an heir, and to also be able to do so tax free, at least for another two years.

There has been a lot of speculation and worry in the farming industry where family farms are concerned, reports the New York Family Lawyer. Being forced to pay a 35% inheritance tax could mean that the children that you leave your farm to would have to sell part of it off just to pay for the right to keep it, and when it comes to farming, selling off the land itself is the worst thing that you can do, because once the land is gone, so is your ability to grow and plant. It is the irony of farming.

Based on reports from the NY Family Lawyer, farmers are in a better spot than they could be on this, but even so, proper planning and accounting should be put into practice well before the time to pass the family business on comes near. It is imperative to get financial assets in order with the help of a good accountant.

As family farms face more and more pressures from the government and from agencies that have monopolized the power structures of how our food is produced, farmers hold their ground and stay in it for as long as they can, still committed to the life that is both hard work and yet so deeply rewarding when done in service of the people rather than at the whim of elite agencies and rule makers.

Call a verified New York Family Attorney for information regarding your family farm and what you can do best manage and keep it. A good New York Family Attorney understands that the life of a farming family is far more challenging than people understand. They will have the tools to help you manage it.

Actor Has Crazy Night - with Family Next Door says a NYC Family Lawyer

On screen, Charlie Sheen plays a sex crazed, drunk and out of control party animal - and as is often the case life imitates art. It reads like something out of one of Sheen's movies: passed out drunk in a hotel room next to a hooker with thousands upon thousands of dollars of damage having been done to the establishment, said a New York Family Lawyer. And right next door is your former wife! In a movie this is the part where hilarity would ensue but in real life Sheen ended up having the cops called on him, being booked for several crimes, and becoming late night television fodder.

Perhaps worst of all was the fact that not only was his former wife right across the hall but so too were his children, noted a New York Family Lawyer. Sheen and his ex-wife, Denis Richards, had taken their kids to a local museum where the four of them took in the sights and learned a bit of history. It capped off what was said to be a lovely weekend in New York City, reports a New York Family Lawyer. Richards admits that she did bring Sheen back to his hotel room but refuses to comment further, said a New York Family Lawyer. She notes that this is all very public and that her children can see and hear many of these details and she is doing whatever she can to protect them.

Sheen and Richards had a very public and somewhat nasty divorce, one that was often times fought in public and clearly caused pain to all involved, said a New York Family Lawyer.

Divorce is often an emotional rollercoaster for everyone involved. To assist you with this transitional phase in your life, you need to contact a New York Family Attorney. Their training and experience will get you through and put you on the path to recovery.

‘Mad Men’ Star Files for Divorce, Says NY Family Lawyer

Elizabeth Moss is taking the final steps to make her separation from Fred Armisen permanent, New York Family Lawyers have learned.
The actress famous for her role on “Mad Men” filed for divorce from the “Saturday Night Live” comedian in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the dissolution of their marriage, sources told a New York Family Lawyer.
The 28-year-old actress reported the date of her separation as June 26, 2010, only eight months after her quiet marriage before family and friends in Long Island City. Sources told New York Family Lawyers that she also seeks to terminate the court’s jurisdiction to award spousal support to Armisen.
“They had issues,” a source told a New York Family Lawyer. The same source said Moss’ ties to the Church of Scientology was also a factor in the split-up.“Her religion was as important to her as the marriage, if not more,” another source told a New York Family Lawyer. “He could not get with it.”
Not long after the separation was announced in August, it was reported that Armisen was already dating his 23-year-old “SNL” co-star, Abby Elliot. “Fred sought comfort in her after the split,” the source added.

Birth, Marriage, and Divorce All Down in 2009

Births, marriages, and divorces are big milestones in life. There were a few less of these major occurrences in the lives of Americans in 2009, according to the findings of a New York Family Lawyer.
The birthrate in the United States fell yet again in 2009, detailed in a report by the National Center for Health Statistics. There were 13.5 births per 1,000 people last year, while the rate was 13.9 births per 1,000 people in 2008. Both of these were lower than the 2007 rate, which was 14.3 births per 1,000 people.
Not only births saw a decline in numbers, but the number of marriages and divorces also dropped in 2009. According to reports assessed by New York Family Lawyers, there was an estimated 6.8 marriages per 1,000 people in 2009. The marriage rate was 7.1 per 1,000 people in 2008 and 7.3 per 1,000 people in 2007.
New York Family Lawyers were not able to find data in every state to determine divorce rates, but it is estimated that there were 3.4 divorces per 1,000 people in 2009, 3.5 divorces per 1,000 people in 2008, and 3.6 divorces per 1,000 people 2007.

Divorce Attorney and Ex-Wife Strike Deal,

A Long Island divorce attorney known for his colorful life and celebrity cases has come a bit closer to settling the final details of an ugly divorce, sources informed a New York Family Lawyer. All that remained is the matter of him being arrested for violating an order of protection against her.
The 64-year-old divorce lawyer, who has represented clients including Joey Buttafuoco and Jessica Hahn, has a criminal contempt charge before him in Glen Cove court.
Both the lawyer and his 45-year-old ex-wife agree that the disposition of the house, pool, boat, and custody of their three dogs, however, has been satisfactorily settled. The divorce attorney told a New York Family Lawyer, “I get the dogs, and she gets reasonable visitation.”
He also agreed to leave their home in Glen Cove to her, but he will still be allowed to keep his 38-foot “mini-yacht” that berths in the slip on the property. Since the divorce, well over a year ago, they have been taking two-week-long turns staying at the house, the couple related to a New York Family Lawyer.
The divorce lawyer has had to make two more court appearances after approaching his ex-wife in a Glen Cove bagel shop, violating the order of protection she holds against him. In both court appearances, the divorce attorney had to be repeated asked by the judge to stop staring at his ex-wife, while the attorney himself continued to urge the judge to get on with the trial.
