Miley Cyrus' Parents Divorce

Miley Cyrus is one of the most famous teenagers in the world. With hit music albums and singles, popular movies, clothing lines, and sell out concerts - not to mention all of her movie success - the teen queen is a billionaire on paper and an entertainment juggernaut. Unfortunately, she no longer has a nuclear family to come home to as her parents today announced they were getting a divorce, says a New York Family Lawyer. Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus told the world that their marriage of nearly twenty years was coming to an end. The couple had five children together, reports a New York Family Lawyer.

Billy Ray Cyrus was a country music star for years before his daughter caught the attention of everyone as Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel, notes a New York Family Lawyer. Billy Ray starred on the hit show with his daughter - playing her dad! (A role that must have been quite a stretch.) From there Billy Ray helped guide his daughter's career to the point where the teen queen of the screen is one of the most recognizable figures on earth - all before her 18th birthday.

The couple appear to have split amicably as the released a press release jointly, notes a New York Family Lawyer. In it they thanked everyone for their support, thoughts, and prayers. They acknowledged the ugly truth of having to get a divorced but expressed their love for the children, says a New York Family Lawyer. It is unknown at this time how the divorce will affect Miley's career - if it does at all.

Divorces can often impact children in unforeseen ways and a skilled New York Family Attorney can help ease the process. If you are going through a divorce contact a New York Family Attorney today.

Authorities Find Abducted Girl – More Than 25 Years Later

A 57-year-old Nevada woman, formerly of New Jersey, was arrested on suspicion of abducting her daughter in the middle of a custody suit, all the way back in 1984, sources told a New York Family Lawyer.
The woman, who was living in Incline Village, Nevada, was arrested and accused of fleeing a courthouse in Somerville, New Jersey with her daughter who was then six at the time, on August 23, 1984. The girl’s father had full custody of the girl back then, New Jersey prosecutors told a New York Family Lawyer. On June 28, 1985, the mother was to appear for arraignment on charges of interference with custody and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Matters changed in 2010, when the girl, now 32 years old, attempted to change her name in order to get a marriage license in Washoe County, prosecutors told a New York Family Lawyer. A background check on the woman under her own name revealed a listing in the National Information Crime Center as a missing child from New Jersey.
“Investing deputies determined that [the mother] had changed her name… and was living in Incline Village,” the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office told a New York Family Lawyer. The mother admitted to her original identity after a brief interview from Nevada authorities. She was arrested and held in a jail, pending extradition to New Jersey. It is unknown why the daughter was attempting to change her name, or if she was even aware that she was abducted.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s marriage to Corina Villaraigosa has come to an official end, a court spokesman told a New York Family Lawyer.

Once the divorce was announced, New York Family Lawyers discovered the mayor had been dating a former Telemundo anchor. They had been in the relationship, at that time, for at least 18 months. He acknowledged the relationship and stated, “I take full responsibility for my actions.”

International Legal Dispute Over Foster Expenses: A New York Family Lawyer Reports

The state of Oregon has engaged in a rare battle against a Canadian woman over the costs of more than two years of foster care, a New York Family Lawyer reports.
The mother lost custody of her 12-year-old son after leaving him with his stepfather for the summer in 2008, and regained custody in June of 2010. The state would like her to pay for the cost of foster care, which amounts to about $24,000 per year. The charges are being disputed in a Canadian court.
“Not only were we dragged into a broken system, now they’re saying, ‘You must pay for this,’” the mother told a New York Family Lawyer. She did not discuss the legal details, including the actual cost of the care. All questions were referred to her attorney, who was unavailable to answer at the time.
New York Family Lawyers state that such international disputes are rare. State governments usually try to get reimbursed by other states. “States are federally required to do this,” a law professor from the University of Baltimore told a New York Family Lawyer. He also said, however, “At least they’re supposed to exercise discretion before referring a case for enforcement.”
There are literally thousands of laws on the books when it comes to family and family problems, and they can sometimes do more to confuse the issue than help it, unless you have the assistance of a New York Family Attorney. If you or a loved one has legal problems pertaining to family, a New York Family Attorney is standing by, ready to assist.

Judge grants McGreevey divorce, ordered to pay child support but no alimony

Former Gov. James E. McGreevey has to pay child support but not alimony ruled a judge in the sordid divorce case between the NJ Governor who came out as a gay man and his wife, Dina. Their marriage collapsed when he admitted that he was a "gay American" and had had an affair with a staffer. The staffer subsequently said that he was harassed and was not a willing sex partner of McGreevey's.

According to a Queens Family Lawyer, McGreevey is studying to be an Episcopal priest and is claiming that he has little income and cannot pay.

The McGreeveys have been estranged since 2005. He resigned as govenor in 2004 admitting publicly that he is "a gay American" and that he had a sexual relationship with a man who worked on his staff. The staffer is on record and has averred that he was sexually harassed McGreevey.

The judge said that she was very disappointed in the feeling of hate between the two which were made public during the trial. She felt that these issues should have been kept private and not aired in a public forum such as a divorce proceeding.

If anyone is caught up in a divorce proceeding, that person is much better off if he or she has a Queens Family Lawyer as a representative. How many times (visitation) and what kind of custody (full or joint) will have to be decided on. An experienced and seasoned attorney will be able to arrive at a well reasoned and fair solution to predicaments which you have to face.

The judge decided that McGreevey does not owe Matos any commission on his tell-all book, "The Confession." But Judge Cassidy ruled McGreevey owes his mate $109,000, which is one half of their worth.

If You Want Out of a Marriage-Hire a Queens Family Lawyer

Kelly Rutherford, the actress, has filed for divorce from her husband, Daniel Giersch. Even though she is now pregnant with the couple's second child, the star of "Gossip Girl" still wants to call it quits.

Rutherford and Giersch have been married for two years and have a son, Hermes, who is two years old. The very common "irreconcilable differences" has been cited as the reason for the breakup. A Nassau County Family Attorney can help you if you are going through a divorce or a separation. Issues such as child support, child visitation and child custody will be argued and an experienced Family Lawyer will be of invaluable assistance to you. When child abuse or child neglect come into the picture, an order of protection may be issued by the court and criminal charges might ensue.

Alec Baldwin Learns About Voice Mail And why he should Follow the Advice of a Queens Family Lawyer

Born in Massapequa, Long Island, Alec Baldwin is one of three Baldwin sons (Alec, Steve and Dan) who are in the movies--and in the news.

Baldwin learned the hard way that if you leave a voice mail to a Family Member, that person can use that message to cause you problems. Rule is to never leave a message on voice mail that you would not like to face in Family Court says a Queens Family Lawyer.

Baldwin called the home of his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, to speak to his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland. And his rants became public and on the Internet.

He has apologized for losing his temper with his daughter, and said he was most upset that it was released to the media because of what it does to a child. Mr. Baldwin is lucky, this kind of behavior and tirade can be considered child abuse in New York and he could wind up facing a Judge in Naasau County Family Court it happened in his home town.

Little did he realize he’d be answering for his behavior to the world, and the “whodunit” isn’t clear: How did this message became public, and why?

So if you have a reason to regret something major you said on a voice mail or other recording, contact a Queens Family Lawyer so you know your rights and are protected within the letter of the law.
