After months of fighting and slinging claims back and forth, they both filed for divorce. Tyson countersued Givens after she filed in court. She claimed that he beat her and made her life unbearable while he blamed the mother-in-law, Ruth Roper for many of the problems. He says that Roper lied to him about Robin being pregnant to force him into marriage. He also said that both his wife and her mother had tried to keep him away from his old friends in Manhattan and Suffolk County, particularly his Black friends.

Gov. McGreevey and his estranged wife have started to move towards their divorce by entering court. This comes after many months of chaos and public scrutiny. There is no word of a settlement so far as the Judge, Karen Cassidy, hears arguments about the custody of the McGreevey's daughter who is in Kingergarten.

The couple has been arguing over custody and money for the past few months.

Dina Matos McGreevey, 41, is asking for $600,000 for injury sustained because her husband had to resign in disgrace after admitting he was gay and had an affair with a male staffer who says he was harassed and was not a willing sex partner of the governor's. Miss Mills is ending her two year relationship for financial reasons, or so it seems. The x-Beatle has been able to hold her off and avoid the long and winding road which will lead to a big pay day for Heather. Paul believes in yesterday. She is thought to have received only a relatively small interim payment. Child abuse and neglect are not at issue here so, no order of protection has been put into effect. Being her own council will enable Mills to question McCartney. This should be very interesting and throw off some high powered fire works.

Many divorced home owners find it very difficult to remove their name from their mortgage agreement. After buying out the equity stake in the house, the only option that many people have is to refinance according to a New York Family Lawyer. Heather Mills was taken to task for her behavior in the divorce hearings with Paul McCartney. The judge said her testimony was "inconsistent and inaccurate."

The judge said that she was not very impressive as a witness and this is something that Mills did not want publicized.

On the other hand, the judge said that McCartney handled himself in an admirable way during the six-day hearing.

The ex Beatle is coming off a divorce after losing his wife, Linda, to Cancer a few years ago.

An 11-year-old and 12-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with a January 2010 fire that caused more than $100,000 in damages at a Levittown high school, Nassau County police related to a New York Family Lawyer. The boys will be charged as juveniles in Family Court.
"My contention is that this was an intentional fire,” a Nassau County detective of the arson-bomb squad told a New York Family Lawyer. “It wasn’t an accident.”
On January 3, 2010 at about 2:50 p.m., a fire was started from the rubber matting underneath the football bleachers at Division Avenue High School in Levittown. It damaged the bleachers, a concession stand, a gym, and some track equipment, New York Family Lawyers have learned.
The superintendent of Levittown schools affirmed that the boys appeared to be Levittown students. He promised the boys, if found responsible, would be disciplined appropriately, probably suspended. He also agreed that the fire damage was “major” and said the usual policy of attempting to collect damages from the families of the perpetrators would apply.
Students assisted in the identification of the suspects. The superintendent told a New York Family Lawyer, “Our students were pretty mad about this – that was their track.” There were no injuries in the fire.
